COMMENT POLICY

I permit individuals to enter their comments under posts made to this blog, in the same manner as many other blogs. There are certain rules and policies which apply to comments:

  • You must create an account and log in before you can post a comment (see Privacy Policy below)
  • Comments must be relevant to the subject matter of the post under which they are entered.
  • Spam and commercial advertising comments are prohibited, will be deleted, and your account terminated.
  • Comments containing profanity, hate speech, adult content, and other material which may not be suitable for readers under 19, really do not fit in with the purpose and intent of this blog. Such comments will be deleted and the writer will be asked politely once not to enter that sort of thing again. Subsequent posts by that subscriber of the same nature will result in termination of account. Posts containing material which violates Federal, State or Local laws will be deleted and all information available about the writer will be turned over to the proper authorities.
  • You ARE permitted to publicize your own blog or website in your comments, subject to two simple rules:
    • Your post must be relevant to the subject matter of the blog, and not just something contrived to serve as a “wrapper” for your ad copy.
    • Your “ad” may consist only of a “tagline” at the end of your post consisting of one sentence describing your site and the link text.
  • Posts containing multiple links are subject to owner approval before they will appear in the blog.

PRIVACY POLICY

We collect personal information as a part of the process of applying for an account in order to permit you to post comments and use other restricted features of this blog. We do not share that information with any other party, with the exception of law enforcement agencies in the event that a posted comment violates the law. We do reserve the right to use the information so collected to construct a mailing list to use for internal public relations purposes, and all users will be afforded the opportunity to opt-out of that process if, and when, we implement it. We do not rent or sell our user lists.
