This site does maintain a “blogroll” and it’s purpose is to facilitate the process of “link exchange”. If I discover a blog or site whose content complements the content of this blog, I will add it to the blogroll on my own. If you have a site you believe would qualify and it has not been added, here is how the process works:

  • Email me at wanderer@tetheredcoin.com with the subject “Blogroll request” and the URL in the body of the message.
  • I will review your site at my leisure and, if I agree it fits in with the scope of this blog, I will reply to you with an approval.
  • You then simply add a link to this site somewhere on your site, preferably prominently (although I certainly don’t expect it to be on the homepage unless you just want it to be). Reply back to me with the URL to where I can find the link.
  • Once I confirm the link, I will add your site to the blogroll and reply back to you reporting that fact. You can then test the linkback and make sure I did everything right.

One of the criteria that modern search engines use to “rank” websites is based on how many other sites link back to yours. So-called “link farms” don’t work because they don’t have any real content other than the links, and the web “spiders” have gotten smart enough to figure those out. So this sort of thoughtful, considered link exchange is really the best way to promote your site insofar as search engine rankings are concerned.

If you have any questions, send them to me at wanderer@tetheredcoin.com.
