The Tao Of The Tethered Coin is a journal. The word “journal” shares a root with “journey”, and thus a journal is a written record of a journey. All of life is a journey, and this is as true of finances as of anything else.
The word “Tao” is Chinese and is a difficult concept to translate directly into English. The word most often used is “way”. However, English words are often vague in their meanings. Tao isn’t talking about way meaning “method”. Instead, it is talking about way meaning “direction”. Tao is all about the journey.
While my philosophies borrow from many different philosophical and religious traditions, they are not tied to any one of them. These ideas should work for you whether you are Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, Taoist, Muslim, Hindu, Atheist, Agnostic, or whatever. I’m not about starting or espousing a religion here. I’m about sharing a way of enjoying the journey, instead of slaving ceaselessly for an abstract concept like money.
Finally, I freely admit that this website serves as a platform to help publicize my book(s). I make no apology for that. A writer, like any craftsman, has the right to market his work. However, it is my hope that this site grows into a community of travelers, all sharing their thoughts and experiences along their individual journeys. All are welcome, even if you never buy any of my books. For that reason, when the books become available, they will be offered for sale on a separate site.
Eventually, I will also set up a wiki site, to serve as a reference or encyclopedia of wisdom as I discover it.
I can always be contacted via this email address: wanderer@tetheredcoin.com
